State Tax Commissioner Smith, back from Washington, said Nebraska may receive a 750000 grant for the year but cautioned against rushing relief work. Governor Bryan plans a state relief organization under his office, with a five member committee, plus county groups of three to five, to administer federal funds. Bushnell Lady Loses Finger In Planter Machine
Mrs. Claude Sleeper of seven miles north of Bushnell injured her hand while operating a planter. Her hand dropped into a hopper as Mr. Sleeper drove the horses. The index finger was amputated at the second joint and another finger required four stitches.
