Elmer Bowman Dies Lived Here Over 26 Years
Elmer Otis Bowman 56, longtime Sidney resident and former Sidney and Cheyenne County law officer, died in a local hospital after a week of illness. He moved to western Nebraska 51 years ago from Alliance, served ten years as police chief and deputy sheriff, and is survived by his wife Rose four sons John Vern William Kenneth a daughter Ruth a brother and two sisters. Funeral services were set for 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist church with Greenwood cemetery interment and Gehrig funeral service in charge.
