Clarence Hansen age 22 and Harold Hoback age 17, Loup City youths, were arrested in Cheyenne on Saturday and returned to Kimball by State Deputy Sheriff Clark and Sheriffs Schulz Forsling for grand larceny charges. They pled guilty at county court and will await sentence by District Judge Tewell. They confessed to stealing gas oil combine parts and tools from multiple Kimball county farms, with over 200 dollars in machinery parts found in their car. The thefts targeted farms of Gustafson Newbold Blackman and Jacobson, with Blackman north of Kimball and others in the north Dix area.

Leonard Jones Dies After Diving Accident Near Lincoln
Leonard Jones 323, formerly of Sidney, died after diving from a dock into shallow water at South Bend near Ashland. He was paralyzed and died in a Lincoln hospital after the accident Friday night. Jones, a former Sidney high school football player, worked as a bell boy at the Capitol hotel in Lincoln and lived at 1430 D street. He recently married. his wife witnessed the tragedy. Relatives left for Lincoln. funeral planned in Lincoln this afternoon with interment there.
