Three carnival followers questioned after a July Fourth carnival here were linked to an attempted robbery at the Farmers elevator in Peetz last Wednesday night. Two men, Warren F. Covey and A J Wilson, were taken to Sterling for possible extradition. A man and woman in Ogallala refused extradition while the two here consented. The burglars reportedly sought only a can of tobacco, and the safe was damaged but yielded no cash. A Denver safe expert assisted. the suspects’ car and presence with carnival followers tied them to the Peetz incident.
