Police report three day theatre receipts were stolen from the Fox Theatre early Tuesday. An acetylene torch cut a ten inch hole in the safe, with about $600 in cash missing and a diamond ring belonging to Lew Williams, the theatre manager. A Denver cafe match pack was found as the only clue.

75 Cent License Renewal Fee Set By Nebraska Court

Well Known Potter Area Farmer Dies
Edwin M. Beale a prominent resident of South Potter died in a Kimball hospital. He came to the area in 1908 and lived on a ranch 15 miles south of Potter. Beale served as postmaster at the Dye office. Funeral services were held at the home and Potter Methodist church with Rev. C. R. Tanner officiating.

Farm Sales Increase Says Land Bank Head
Charles McCamsey, president of the Federal Land Bank, reports improved crop prospects boosted Nebraska farm sales to 50 in June from 21 a year earlier. Trainman Injured in Engine Accident Near Kimball
Arlo Smith a 36 year old Cheyenne brakeman and son in law of the Battertons of Kimball suffered second degree burns after a boiler ruptured scalding water trapped him in the cab as the eastbound train departed Kimball. He was unconscious and fell from the train narrowly missing railroad ties while the engineer and fireman escaped to the second car. Union Pacific doctor D M Flett gave first aid.

James Vines Edward Vines and Pansy Vines are held in county jail on a charge of entering an automobile with intent to steal.
