The city council approved five street improvement districts Friday night and repealed an ordinance creating a sixth on the north side. Twenty-two west ward property owners filed remonstrances. east ward protests totaled four of thirty-six. Districts cover Newton Street from 10th to 18th, several avenues between Maple and Newton, Linden and Newton, 7th and 8th avenues, and streets including Jackson and King. Meyer R Roche said WPA may furnish some material while contracts let for labor. construction may not start before spring, curb work could proceed in winter. Farmers Seek Weed Control District in Lodgepole Area

No. 113 Oil Work Planned For Sterling-Peerm Route
Bill Williams director of public relations for the Colorado highway department says state patrol for the Sterling Peerm highway No 113 is established and oil surfacing will take place this summer. Crews will start around April if weather permits and work on the Sterling Peetz highway will begin once crews are assigned to the area.
