A state and federal agricultural statistics bulletin reports Nebraska winter wheat acreage fell by 12 percent this year to 3,269,000 acres from 3,715,000 a year ago, a drop of 446,000 acres. Nationwide decline is 1.1 percent. Nebraska leads in industry adjustment, with excellent soil moisture and favorable conditions overall. Rye sown totals rise to 360,000 acres. rye condition at 91 percent versus 96 percent last year.
