Christmas Party Plans For Local Kids This Week
A free Christmas party for local children includes moving pictures candy and a real Santa Claus. Santa will distribute 1200 candy sacks at the court house lawn Saturday afternoon with a free matinee at the Fox theatre starting at one. A 20 foot tree will be lighted and decorated by Western Public Service. The candy sacks include coins from a penny to a dollar. The event is a joint merchants welfare program with community singing planned later.

Humphrey 79 of Broken Bow former congressman and father of Dr. F A Humphrey of Fort Collins died at his son's Fort Collins home Friday night after a two weeks illness. Fieyd Harwood pled guilty to burglary and was sent to the state industrial school for boys at Kearney. Ralph Simpson, also guilty of burglary, was sent to the state prison for a two year term.
