Wills Reports Five Inches Moisture From Rain Snow
Ray Wills a farmer north of Potter said in Sidney on Friday that a grease can he placed in his yard during the rain and snow storm caught five and a quarter inches of moisture. He believed this estimate fairly reflects totals in his neighborhood. A foot to 18 inches of snow stood over fields Friday morning with a heavy crust of slush beneath.

Senate Advances Sullivan Liquor Bill for Passage
The Sullivan liquor control bill HR 128 was advanced by the Senate 21 to 6 after three days of debate on its 94 sections. Sens clamor that it is no better than the house version, votes to kill sections failed. If passed it goes to conference before reaching the house. A daily vacation Bible school for local youngsters will be held in Sidney this summer, organized by the local ministerial society and involved parents. Mrs. Gus Hell bush chairs, with Mrs. B. O. Roy Liggett, Sidney merchant, reported thieves broke into their home Thursday night, stealing two watches including a keepsake, damaging windows and furniture. Entrance was gained by prying a window with a shovel. Mrs Liggett discovered the break in upon entering the front door. Ruling by McCarl Worth Millions to Wheat Farmers

Fredericksen Funeral Held Sunday
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Lutheran church in Gurley for Christian Fredericksen age 22 son of Mr and Mrs Henry Fredericksen who died in a Denver hospital last Wednesday. He had been ill several months from stomach trouble and his death cast a pall over the county. He is survived by his parents two sisters Mrs Paul Mortensen and Minnie Fredericksen. He was with Gurley high school class of 1930 and had worked in the auction business the past three winters with growing success. The Rice funeral service of Sidney conducted the interment.
