The annual sixth district music contest comes to Sidney this Saturday drawing up to 900 visitors. Students from every high school compete in instrumental and vocal numbers with a massive orchestra and chorus. Judges L Smith of Sterling and Hardin A War Duersen of the University of Wyoming, and the sixth district committee led by Vilius W Cochran, plan contests in the senior high auditorium and the new city auditorium.

Johnson Brings Back Hereford Calves From Amarillo Ranch
Johnson returns from Amarillo Texas with 500 steer calves purchased there. The herd was released on the Grassmere ranch grazing grounds of C W Johnson Thursday. Carloads of Hereford stock arrived all vaccinated and dehorned. These are spring calves from registered Hereford stock. About 825 calves now at Grassmere ranch.
