California arrest recovers Sidney youth Carl Smith
San Bernardino California police hold Carl Smith a Sidney youth wanted for parole violation jail breaking and grand larceny. He bolted from the county jail after carrying concealed weapons and allegedly stole a horn valued near 300 dollars from J W Cochran music supervisor. Joe Steele Learns of Fathers Death in Colorado
Nebraska legislator Joe Steele received word his father Wt. E. Steele 76 died at his Longmont Colorado home. Steele left to attend the funeral. The elder Steele moved to Nebraska in 1883 settling Tecumseh then Hastings and is survived by a wife and five children. Joe Steele had recently visited him in Longmont after being told he was seriously ill.

Former Resident Blanche Jacobson Dies in Colorado
Mrs. Blanche Jacobson 27 died at her parents home in Fort Collins Colorado. She and the Taylor family formerly lived in Sidney and were well known there.
