Taber resident Life Lester who beat breast cancer with modern treatments partners with Connie Gross to raise funds for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer in Calgary July 25 27 2008. Cancer remains the leading illness for Canadian women with an estimated 22,300 new cases and 5,300 deaths in 2007. On average 102 Canadian women die weekly from breast cancer.
