The last eighth grade examination will be held on May 9 for seventh and eighth graders. Erma Rempet and Esther Roella from District 74 competed in inter state spelling at Sioux City and the Omaha World Herald contest in Omaha. about 160 contestants at Sioux City and 70 at Omaha. Rempet placed seventeenth in Omaha, winning $5.00. Railroad Day proclaimed for Fairbury March 1k to honor railroad employees during the Union Pacific film showing at Borham theatre. Junior Senior Banquet at Presbyterian Church
The junior senior banquet was held last Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church. The program included acts by Ling Master Robert Haddix and others, with twenty five attendees including seniors juniors teachers and Mrs. Clark, served by sophomore girls and food prepared by the Ladies Aid.
