The Ladies of the Missionary Society sponsor a Mother and Daughter banquet at the Presbyterian church on Friday evening in May. A good program is planned. Ladies are asked to bring covered dishes and a charge of 25 cents for two plates.
The Girl's Guild gathers at Miss Margaret Bugbee's home on May 10 for devotions by Larie Fahrenwald a play on Mothers of the Bible by Nell Megonigle and a roll call Bible verse on Obedience Hortesses include Margaret Bugbee Reba Hansen and Verna Janssen.
Classified notice advertises a 1929 Ford Model A four door sedan for sale at Fahrenwald's garage. The Steele City News lists subscription price at $1.00 per year or 60 cents for six months.
Sunday services continue with morning worship and special choir music followed by an evening sermon. Mrs Megonigle will begin next Sunday with the Juniors in the morning service. A Mother and Daughter banquet is planned for Friday evening May 11 with tickets at the door.

The B B Kensington group met on April 24 with Mrs Mildred Pingle to sew quilt blocks and share light refreshments. The next session is planned with Mrs Jeanie Thompson on May 8 and includes Roll Gall Mother’s Day Se lections.

The small child of Mr and Mrs Earl Weaver was brought to the hospital Tuesday morning in serious condition after stepping on a nail. Tetanus developed but the child is now improving under doctor care.
The community mourns the infant born last Friday at Odell hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Earhart home in Steele City and the baby was laid to rest in Joyner y in Kansas.
