Glee Club Entertains Men's Club at Steele City Church
The Fairbury High School Glee Club directed by Miss Cook entertained members of the Mens Fraternal club at the Steele City Presbyterian church on Tuesday evening. W. C. Palmer introduced the performers as a saxophone solo and chorus numbers highlighted the program. E. W. Kendall praised the club's musical talent turning the meeting into a friendly pep gathering. Refreshments of ice cream and cake followed in the church parlors for both groups.

Farmall Tractors Saturday Shipment Report
PV Lowe expects a car load at Farmall tractors Saturday. Mrs My Silkett is reported quite sick. Justin and son shipped a car of cattle and not hogs Wednesday. W K Woods shipped two car loads of cattle from Steele City Wednesday. The Farmers Union of Steele City shipped three carloads of corn one of wheat and one car load of hogs this week. Chester Wilcox purchased the large stone building formerly used as a blacksmith shop now occupied by K E Hartgraves. Glen Riddle sold his Steele City dray line to Hugh Greenwood. Greenwood is B A Greenwood’s son and assumed duties immediately. Funeral services for Mrs Jennie Henderson were held Monday at the Baptist church in Fairbury. Attending Steele City residents included Mrs John Weber and Mr and Mrs Peter Stinda.
