The Presbyterian Church reports a blessed sabbath with a good choir anthem and a morning theme of loving God by keeping commandments. Evening youth groups discussed Breaking with tradition and shared a Parable of the Sower dialogue, leading into Passion week and a special Thursday service observing the Last Supper. Barn Fire Destroys Mrs. Anderson Farm Structure
A barn at the Mrs. Anderson farm near Steele City was destroyed Tuesday evening by fire that started from a farm implement. Feed hay and a set of barn tools were lost. Mrs. Anderson was away. Relatives and neighbors from Ansley and California assisted Crane and Wright families following a death in the area. Horses were moved to Fairbury for sale.
