The Woman's Missionary Society gathers Wednesday March 11 at Mrs H A Drake's home to discuss Medical Missions. Mrs A T Phelpa and Mrs R Cassell present, with a devotional study review on Christ of the Mount and a chapter catch-up for Matthew 5 6 7. Donations to meet the apportionment are encouraged.
The Belvesta school reports fine weather and welcomed two new pupils, George and Wayne Murray from District 8 near Harbine. The spelling class achieved 100 percent on Thursday and Marjorie Payne led opening exercises while Wendell Garrett will lead next week. A class photo is planned for early next week subject to weather.
Luther Sampoon is employed this month working for Henry Shuette.
The U S Navy recruiting district centered in Omaha Nebraska plans to enlist thirty five to fifty recruits monthly for several months. Applicants must be 17 to 25 years old. Sub stations are in Lincoln Hastings North Platte Huron Sioux Falls Watertown South Dakota Council Bluffs Iowa. Applications should be filed at the station nearest the applicant home with parental consent for enlistment.
A meeting will be held at Mac's Store at 8:30 on Wednesday evening March 11 to discuss organizing for the coming baseball season.
A caucus for School District No 1 will be held at the school building in Steele City Nebraska on Monday evening March 9 at 8 oclock. It seeks four candidates for three year terms two to be elected and one for a one year vacancy to fill the air vacancy. P A Duis secretary.

Definite plans are set for the Vocational Guidance Conference to be held at Fairbury High School next Tuesday March 10 at 7 9 p.m. Enrollment is free and all young people are welcome with no financial obligation. Advance enrollment is not required and inquiries may be addressed to Rev. R B Deadman.
A district meeting of the K.P Lodge was held in Wilber on Thursday evening. Many Steele City folk attended.

Young Woman's Guild hosts a public meeting at the school house next Thursday evening with music and a review of the book Bless Streeter Aid On Forever by Susan Taylor. Subscription drive for Inter-Church Messenger encouraged. Funeral services for Mrs. Comer were held at the church. Attendance last Sunday doubled prior week. sermon titled Those Dreams That Didn't Come True. Plan to attend next Sunday and pray for revival.
Mr and Mrs W J Williams relocate from Glacow to Great Falls Montana where Williams works for Montana Power Company. He will be remembered in Steele City as Mins Helen Gregory.
Mrs J Jenkins and family of Washington visited at Mra Wayne Stewart home. Harry Mahisan and family were Fairbury visitors. R A Hyland and niece Janette were business guests. Frank Price and family visited at Richard Osborn home. Woodmen and Loyal Neighbors hosted a supper for the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Frank Martina. The Martines moved to Washington.
Mary Tebe born August 16, 1865 near Haddam daughter of Jabe and Melvina Tebo. She married James P. Cramer January 16, 1883 and had five children Elia Campbell Sayre Lulu Ethel J R Cramer. Survived by one sister and one brother four children and fourteen grandchildren. Died February 28 1936 after illness. funeral at Steele City Presbyterian church with Rev J Filinger officiating.
Bereaved relatives express thanks for aid and flowers after the funeral of Mrs. Mary Cramer. Attending family members include Lala Totten and Hazel Land of Winfield and Beloit, Kansas, with spouses and siblings named. A.M. Wilcox hosted guests Grant Wing, O Wing, and Lena Dill.

The Young Woman's Guild hosts a March 12 program at the school house featuring a book review of Spring Came On Forever by Aldrich led by Mise Susan Taylor. Mrs. J.B. Filinger plays violin and Mise Leonore Steele sings. lunch follows with a ten cent collection. Everyone is invited.
A farewell party followed the Literary event for the Stover and Youngblood families. Numerous residents, including O W Griffing, Albert Menke and families, Ed Kelley, and Maryuibson of Superior, were mentioned with visits, moves, and gatherings around Endicott and nearby towns. Funeral services were held in Fairbury for James Swartz.
