Presbyterian Church Christmas Day Baptisms and Upcoming Vacation Bible School
Last Sunday at the Presbyterian Church marked Children's Day with the Sunday school in charge of the morning service. Infants Arlene May Wenz Peggy Lee McKibbon and Gwendolyn Joy Rosenboom were baptized as the Cradle Roll service concluded. Evening social hour featured a strong program led by Isabell Fahrenwald. The Ladies Aid met with high attendance, and Daily Vacation Bible School is set to begin Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 each weekday except Saturday at the schoolhouse.

Normal Training Retained in District 1 School
Taxpayers in School District No. 1 met on Monday June 12 to retain Normal Training as a high school study and voted to raise $6 000 for the coming term. C C Andrews urged retention while Mrs E W Kendall led a successful motion to continue the subject locally.
Missionary Society Dime Social Features International Guests
A dime social by the Missionary Society was held in church parlors on Wednesday evening June 14 with foreign guest impersonations by Mrs Phelps and Mrs Woods and introductions by Mrs Andrews. Guests from Japan China and India spoke and were welcomed by Mrs Earhart, with refreshments reflecting their homelands. A separate note says many friends gathered at Mary Wayne's home Friday to celebrate her birthday with ice cream and cake.

Weisman to Scottsbluff on family visit through Cardone
Otto Weisman and his wife from Cardone Indiana stopped in the L. W. J. Wenz home for a short visit en route to Scottsbluff.
