Mrs Walter James visited Mrs Cora Cuthbert last Wednesday afternoon. Luther Breazeale and wife were guests at the Heaston home Tuesday evening. Henry Meyers assisted in wood chopping for several residents on Tuesday and Wednesday, and a birthday surprise for Mrs Meyers and Mr Compton drew fifty four relatives and friends at the Meyers home with a basket dinner at noon.

Leo Forsha Passes After Brief Illness in Kansas City
Leo Forsha, 45, husband and World War veteran formerly of Steele City, died Tuesday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City after a brief illness. Funeral services were held in Kansas City Thursday at 2 p.m. with burial there. He was survived by his wife, a nurse at the veterans hospital, and had suffered years with diabetes.
