Attendance at all services last Sunday was strong with a morning congregation and a theme of Partnerships with God. The Ladies Aid met Tuesday afternoon and the Men’s Fellowship planned a January 17 program. Communions to be observed next Sunday. Pythian Sisters and Knights of Pythias held a joint installation. a lengthy list of officers was installed. A surprise fifteenth birthday party for Doyle Godden closed the evening social.
Alvy Negus, commander of Campbell Cline Legion Post, asks eligible members in Diller Endicott and Steele City to join during American Legion enrollment week in Nebraska. He urges attendance at post meetings on the first and third Mondays. Also notes Emma Shultz and B. Young marriage in Hollister California with 65 relatives present.
A baby named aone was born to Mr and Mrs Howard Liehtenberger on Wednesday January 4. Mr ROA Hyland accompanied his daughter Winifred to Lincoln on Wednesday and returned Thursday. Winifred attends the state university. Elmer Campbell hosted Fairbury visitors Saturday. Dr M Morgan of Steele City was a professional caller Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Guibar visited Ogden with relatives and attended the funeral of the grandfather of Guibar Sunday. Corsinend on Page 10.
The Star installation at Diller followed by a Degrees of Honor lodge dinner hosted by Mrs. J. Branahan and Mrs. Joke Ke. Oyster stew, celery, pickles, coffee served as guests socialized. Also noted are hospital stays and local transfers involving Mrs. B. B. Nelson and the Abels.
