Spring Hill Busy Bees Meet Sets Badges and Plans Race
A Spring Hill Busy Bees meeting after Christmas vacation formed committees for the coming month. Members receiving new Herald badges include Rose, Louise, Luella Frase, Geneva, Dorthy Frase, Estella Wasserman, Wilber Wasserman, Leland Coons, Clare, Mildred, Marion Pelser and Pauline Pelser. A reading group activity uses a placard city of knowledge with cars advancing one mile per A grade, in a month long race. Luella Frase and Pauline Pelser missed due to illness. The second grade sang The Star Spangled Banner and studied Francois Scott Key. Christmas dinner guests included several Phelps and Bridwell families. Effective January 6 1982 trains 3 and 4 switch to motors while trains 501 and 62 remain steam.

State agents seize nearly a ton of fish for pit stocking
Almost a ton of fish were seized from the Weblemoe sand pit west of Endicott by state game commission staff last week to clear the area for stocking with other fish. The catch was moved to Fairbury and given to families registered with the unemployment bureau.
