Donald Fahrenwald reports a new croquet set purchased Tuesday for the court. Steele City baseball tied Endicott 14 innings 8 to 8 and beat Diller 4 to 2 on the second day. Steele City teams traveled to Reynolds. girls won and boys lost. A return game is set for Sunday September 4 at 2 p.m. Admission is 5 cents. Two new rackets and a ball bought for tetherball in the park.

Picnic Wraps Up Quiet Town Summer Gathering
After a subdued picnic season the town returns to routine. Residents recall modest crowds, pleasing music from the Plymouth and Fairbury bands, a few standout costumes in the children's parade, several prize winners, and an aeroplane flight over the town.
