B B Kensington Club Hosts Summer Meeting
The B B Kensington group met at Mae and Ina Bilison's home on August 22 1989 with fourteen members and nine children. After business, members played two contests and Chinese Checkers, then enjoyed refreshments. Next gathering set for September 12 1939 at Alice Gretzinger's home. The American Legion and Auxiliary met at the K P hall with officer elections and delegates to the state convention.

Death of Orange Roode in Sheridan Wyoming
Word. was received Wednesday evening of the passing of Orange Roode at Sheridan Wyoming. When Mrs Roode died recently Mr Roode, in poor health, went to the hospital where his condition worsened. He lived in theScleel[e] City vicinity in youth and was a depot agent at Endicott. Recreational Notes Outline Fall Recreation Plans
Nelle Megonigie reports boys and girls from ages 5 to 1 years will meet Saturday morning at the recreational hall for story telling games and craft work. Older youths are invited to attend a Tuesday morning meeting at 9 o'clock to plan fall programs and croquet court sharing is requested. Plans aim for a full fall and winter recreation program with future announcements in Recreational Notes.
Kensington B B Club Picnic at Fairbury City Park
Sunday August 2 at Fairbury City Park the B B Kensington members and families gathered for their annual picnic despite cooler weather. Attendees enjoyed fried chicken and social time while children played on the playground. Reverend Williams of Carrol Nebraska will be the next resident pastor but will not conduct services until the 3rd. The eighth annual fair festival is set for Sunday August 27 with ten bands expected to participate.
