Kensington Club Holds August Meeting and Picnic
B B Kensington met at Mrs Catherine Daily's home on August 8 1939 with eighteen members thirteen children and two visitors. After the business session the group sang and enjoyed cakes and refreshments. Next gathering will be at Mrs Mae and Miss Na Ellison's home on August 22 1939. The annual picnic is announced for Sunday August 20 1939 in Fanbury Nebraska with families bringing sandwiches covered dishes and provisions.

Keith Wohlbrandt left for Topeka on Friday for medical treatment. Mrs Prude Grindell died Sunday August 6 at her Oberlin Kansas home after a long illness. She was formerly Miss Prude Driscoll who lived near Hollenberg. Mr and Mrs Elmer Holley and daughter from Sabetha were guests in the home of Mrs Ralph Ablers and Jacob Kell along with Dayton Aden and wife of Fort Wayne Indiana who visited Ouke Franzen's family in Omaha. Elsie Franzen accompanied them and returned to Steele City.
