A reader from Atlanta notes a February purchase of BB items for a four year old. After doctors viewed hereditary factors, the elder family member faced leg sores and a severe head issue. The author claims a BB cure and quick blood tests reportedly brought relief, praising the outcome and health in later years.
The notice describes a September start for a local literary course and physical culture program run by a Board. It lists a tuition of one hundred and forty dollars for the year ending June 1st, mentions teachers in music, art, elocution, stenography, typing, telegraphy and business courses. Potter surrendered at opening, attended by Knox and Reed, and passed awaiting constables. The trio appeared before a large crowd of workers as Frick was also noted for bail action.

Washington August 4 leading Senate members favor the Durborrow World’s Fair bill with the appropriation cut from 5 000 000 to 2 500 000. Senators expressed near unanimity for the amended plan though unhappy the full amount cannot be provided. Senate adjourned until tomorrow afternoon, signaling possible delay in conferees on the sundry civil bill. Rejection by the House could prolong the session indefinitely.
August 4 Louisville Ky a great day for Kentucky democrats as the Watterson club house opened with Governor John Brown presiding and A E Stevenson the Democratic nominee for Vice President speaking despite illness. Stevenson praised the club and Waterson replied that the house warming honors a future national leader.
In Taysonsville Alexander county delegates and crowds heard Hons. R. B. Glenn W. H. Bower and R. A. Coughton urge Democratic loyalty. The county convention renominated Murdock for the House and Flowers for Senator. A Democratic barbecue in Dunn featured Octavius Coke Judge Womack and Troy with 1500 attendees and strong heat for the party.
Greensboro paper notes nominations at a prohibition convention with Templeton of Wake for governor and Candler Buncombe as lieutenant governor alongside Proctor Lumberton for attorney general and other officers. Also reports Democratic committee, Wentworth third party, Alabama returns, baseball results, a Jacksonville railroad receiver, Ireland secretary prospects, a Norfolk murder, a New Jersey mine accident, and a sugar coated pill ad.
A riot at Carnegie Steel's Duquesne plant injured about fifteen workers including Foreman Millstagle. Deputies and twice-reinforced guards failed to stop the mob, which drove back a 40-man repair detachment. The sixteenth regiment arrived. two companies deemed enough for guard. Strikers from Homestead suspected.
Terrible accident in Durham N C as three colored workmen on a scaffold twelve feet high handle a 200 pound buttress cap. Albert Cole of Goldsboro was killed instantly Sam McLane of Holly Springs was fatally injured and another man unnamed escaped unhurt. Cole had worked four months at the site. The incident occurred about 4 30 PM on August 4.
On the scene of his crime Captain Hulce and Officer Gibson travel to Richmond to escort Edward Parsons accused of assaulting his 15 year old daughter. Independent Richmond bond holders may oppose the regular advisory committee seeking support from key bond figures. Reports caution that telegrams about consul Ryder are inaccurate. Baltimore sees two suicides, one drunk and disorderly, another ex-saloon keeper. Mrs Emma Miller declared insane after eloping with a black man. The yacht Alva once owned by W K Vanderbilt, sunk near Pollocks Rip, sold at auction for 350 dollars.
