Tragic 16 year old Roscoe Walker ends his life in Smiths Grove

Roscoe Walker sixteen son of farmer John Walker of Smiths Grove in Mocksville county died yesterday afternoon by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun. He had ploughed all day and tied his team before going indoors to fetch the gun, using a stick to discharge it. No motive is given for the act. The incident closes a day of quiet farm labor and sudden tragedy for a local family.
