Board of Revision Organizes and Proposes Street Improvement Rules

The Board of Revision met yesterday afternoon and elected Mayor Johnston as President Cit Receier Warrington as Secretary and John Ostendorf as Messenger. It discussed protecting city property in street improvements requiring city ownership proof and engineer certification before orders. The Clerk would report damages claimed on proposals for abutting property assessments. The Solicitor urged precautions to avoid costly mistakes and possible held accountability. An ordinance draft was requested and monthly meetings set for the first Monday.

Dayton Horse Accident Report Near Mt. Auburn

Mr. H. Niemeyer and his son riding home aboard a horse near Mt. Auburn about seven last evening when the animal balked at a crane and threw them. The horse sustained injuries and it is believed Mr. Niemeyer may have a dislocated shoulder. A Dayton meeting on the C. D. D. railroad is also noted.

Circus Trouble in Sedalia After Show Day Clash

An Irishman in Sedalia caused trouble at a traveling circus after a dispute near the train. A man armed with a revolver and brass knuckles confronted the group, leading to a brawl in which Jimmy and others beat the assailant with a torch staff. Reports say the man’s skull was crushed and he was dying, with warrants issued for Robinson and other circus members.
