In Philadelphia a bartender Lewis Neff was beaten with a beer bottle by Joseph Rathcell and others in a saloon. His recovery is doubtful. The incident followed a bar argument among a crowd of young men Sunday evening.

Murray in Escaped from Sing Sing impressed as five characters, Miss Quinton and Wood Benson carried Puck at Robinson's operas, Blind Tom showcased genius at Mozart Hall, while Col D W Strickland resumes law practice and is praised for his prior Sheriff service. Milwaukee plans a million dollar courthouse opening Wednesday.
