In Lebanon, James Pullen was shot dead by a boy with a toy pistol at a drug store, dying two hours later. Funeral for Jacob Helfrich and daughter followed an engine accident last Friday. Mrs Helfrich plans to sue the railroad.

William John Mitchell Hal born January 2 1849 on John street died yesterday at age 24. A gifted reader and actor from Fort Wayne debuting in 1869, he rose from utility man to leading actor across the South and West. His last appearance was at Pike's Opera-house in Scouts of the Prairie where an onstage accident may have contributed to his death. Funeral from the Cathedral is set for tomorrow morning.
