The mate confronts Ronald Adair the leper who killed the bos’n and captured the ship. The mutinous killer plans to seize control but the mate frees the wheel during a storm and the ship rides a giant wave, sending the leper to a watery end as the schooner gains speed toward Halakeala Head.
