Parade and Picnic Planned for Joliet Labor Day
Labor Day celebrations in Joliet feature a large parade and picnic. About 5 000 workers will march Monday morning, with four divisions led by marshal Phil Mack and aides guiding each section. Floats, six bands, three drum corps, and school ensembles are planned, followed by an afternoon picnic at the park with speakers Attorney James Burke and Rev. John Goeken among others.
