FBI delays entering Zelko disappearance case until kidnapping evidence exists

The FBI will not join the search for Amelia J. Zelko until kidnapping evidence is found. Chicago bureau chief Richard Auerbach stated no jurisdiction without such proof, amid a city, county and state wide hunt led by Joliet police and sheriff’s deputies.

Bottino Named Temporary Joliet Administrative Assistant

Louis F Bottino former Lockport High School superintendent and Will County educator was appointed administrative assistant for Joliet public grade schools for the remainder of the year at a 9600 salary. The appointment was unanimous and effective Monday with Bottino free to be considered for a permanent post later.
