Fearful Shooting Suspect Rescued After Siege At Home
George Schultz 69 a retired railroad man fired on deputies answering a complaint about gunfire at pedestrians. Wounded deputies William Barrowman and Ned Barnes evacuated to Silver Cross Hospital as officers surrounding Schultz opened fire. After a ten minute exchange gas bombs were used and Schultz surrendered. held on $10 000 bond awaiting June grand jury.
