Hill and Arthur W. De Selm are favored over Democrats Ed win L. Wilson Claude N. Saum and W. R Hunter. Joliet residents likely back Hill and many favor closing the sanitarium, though The Spectator urges a Yes vote to keep it operating since hundreds have recovered there since 1926.
