A Joliet society page details a summer season of parties and visits. Dr and Mrs Harry Copley host guests from Dodds Ferry NY and beyond, with Kennedys hosting a garden party for Betty Jane Kulp of Minneapolis among others. Many locals travel to Ludington Milwaukee and Chicago for social events and family gatherings throughout the week.
