Linda Carol Henry 16 of Hampton Park has been reported missing since Monday. She was last seen riding a bicycle on Normantown Road. A tall bushy haired man in a damaged black Renault may be involved. contact Illinois State Police with any information.
A Joliet resident Mrs William Limacher fights to save the 100 year old Westphal Bank on Bluff Street from demolition for a new university project. Opponent J F Wingert of the Land Clearance Commission says old Bluff Street structures will be leveled for new construction with bids starting soon. The effort seeks a historical park and museum adjacent to the bank, with federal help possible but uncertain.
Anyone with less than an eighth grade education may enroll this week in the Basic Education program now entering Phase III at Joliet Township High School and Junior College Adult Education Division. Interested students may sign up at the Adult Education Office Room 253.
