Joliet hosts a five day auto show in the Gerlach Barklow building on Richards Street beginning tomorrow at noon. Sixty five to seventy models from all local dealers will be shown including roadsters coupes sedans and stream line designs with air flow features knee action wheels ventilated bodies and other innovations. Admission is twenty five cents adults with children free. doors open daily at noon except Sunday 1 pm and close Wednesday night.
Carrier boys will start collecting tomorrow and continue until next Wednesday. They carry cards authorizing home delivery of The Spectator for five cents a month. If you miss a copy by 6 p.m. Friday, call 9224 for immediate delivery.
Catholic High defeated Cathedral High 31 to 21 as over 3,000 fans packed the gym for a fast paced prep contest. Matesevac, Joliet’s strong guard, scored with four field goals and three free throws. Carroll’s Catholic High squad led from the opening and held the lead throughout.
Miss Marian Krieger secretary to C. S. Winston appears in a spectator photo promoting the opening of the Joliet Automobile Show. The event showcases the Gerlach-Barklow build and is scheduled to begin tomorrow.
