Wraith Promotes Fire Captains As City Seeks Budget Cut
Mayor William Hennessy and the commissioners plan to trim the 1934 city budget below last year’s $600,000 spend. The Mundy Choristers billed as America’s foremost Negro Chorus will perform in Joliet at the Universalist auditorium on Tuesday evening March 6 under the Joliet Junior Choral Club. Chastine C. Mason is general manager. The program includes popular pieces from their repertoire and selections performed recently at the University of Illinois where demand was high.

Hennessy Couple to Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary
