Illinois Bell Telephone Co and the Communications Workers of America reach a 15 month contract running to April 30, 1960. Weekly wage boosts of 1 to 3 dollars plus new vacation and pension benefits apply to 7,300 plus 1,700 Chicago toll division workers. Wages in Joliet rise 1.50 to 2.50 dollars. Reclassifications and a four week paid vacation for long service are included. Minimum pensions rise to 115 dollars for 6 year retirees and 85 dollars for earlier retirees.
