City Poor Will Have A Merry Christmas
Charities across Will county plan to aid more than 2,000 needy families with grocery orders and special food baskets before Christmas. The Salvation Army leads the effort with 300 baskets daily, aided by the Holly club Visitation and Aid society and the Associated Charities. The St. Camillus society will bring gifts carols to orphans the old folks home patients in the sanitarium and county jail inmates, while students help with each effort.
