Mr and Mrs Lopez of the Goodman Mercantile Co Roy bring Teodocio Gomez an eight year old orphan boy from Wagon Mound into their home. The bright child joins their family, with both parents dead and relatives seeking a home for him.
Miss Hilda Floersheim was surprised Tuesday evening by friends to celebrate her eighteenth birthday. Refreshments followed as guests including Anna Kitchell Alma Kitchell Catharine Jardee Phoebe Alldredge Jennie Jardee Mary Russel Helen Alldredge Helen Russel Tell Bradley Wolcott Russell Joe Wertheim of Tucumcari and Mr. and Mrs. I C Floerheim departed with best wishes.

A quiet wedding turned society affair at the office of U S Commissioner B J H Roy Friday evening. Odis Hoskins and Miss Lissie Hickle of Pleasant View were married by Judge Garot with A S Bushke as interpreter. Witnesses Ben Hoskins and Miss Ella Hickle attended. The pair received hearty congratulations on their bilingual ceremony.
Mrs A A McGlothlin of Mosquero celebrated her 57th birthday last Saturday with about fifty friends from Solano and Mosquero neighborhoods visiting her home. Music and dancing accompanied a splendid three course dinner praised as a triumph of culinary art. The youthful hostess and her jovial husband are noted hosts with wishes for many more celebrations.
Seventeen youths and children from Roy set out for a box supper at Pleasant View School eight miles east. After a long misdirection they returned to Roy half frozen and tired, with locals recounting they were not lost but a prank by the boys aiming to take supper boxes from the girls.
