Escaped Convict Returned to Territorial Penitentiary
Sergeant Robert Lewis of the New Mexico mounted police captures Jacobo Flores, an escapee from July 4 1905, after a pursuit near Las Veras. Flores, sentenced for murder, had been working on the Scenic Highway before his French leave. He is returned to Santa Fe to serve the remainder of his term amid continued police activity across Socorro and surrounding counties.

American Royal Live Stock Show set for October at Kansas City
