Rumors swirl of tunnels tapping ledges at Custer and Unknown, and the Montana mine bonds to capitalists for deep tunneling. Governor Gooding threatens to shut the state university over taxes, with calls for plain talk and constitutional limits.
Public notice from Custer County Idaho states that Williams Elder, Sheriff, will sell the Valley Creek group of lode mining claims and a 20-stamp quartz mill with all buildings at the Court House door in Challis on October 16, 1905, to satisfy three judgments totaling $2,109.70 plus interest and costs. Names involved include The Valley Creek Mining District group, The Wat Booking Company Limited, J B Hastings, Lyttleton Price, Wayne Darlington, A S Reed, A L Wenner, Hiram Meachum, and Monnere Memorists. The sale follows court actions begun September 1905.
Clare Morrisey administratrix of Edward N Morrisey deceased calls all creditors and claimants to exhibit claims with vouchers within four months after first publication. Claimants must present at her Mackay residence in Custer County Idaho the place for business of the estate. Chave A Clark attorney for administratrix. First publication Sept 28 1905.
