Challis and Salmon News From Idaho City World Briefs

Joint Teachers Institute Opens in Challis Challis

The JONG Institute convened in Challis from August 28 to September 1, a five day session uniting Lemhi and Custer counties. Nineteen teachers attended along with many Challis residents praising hospitality. The event highlighted leadership by Mrs. Margaret Langsdorf and Miss Louise Bascom with instructors from Salt Lake City Boise and local towns. A lodge hall reception on August 29 featured speeches and cultural exercises, and the program culminated with a Friday adjournment. The next session will be in Salmon.
