In Challis Idaho Mrs J P Spalding has opened a board and lodging house at her residence in the northeast part of town near the Fox hotel offering first class board and lodging at reasonable rates.
Local notes report Buster selling home cured hams with a new smokehouse and Halloween pranks praised. Mentions dances, land business trips by John F Christian and Prof Harry families, and Everett Vance driving a Challis to Robinson Bar stage. The Lost Packer Extension Mining company of Salt Lake filed articles of incorporation with capital stock of 100000 dollars in 1 shares. It takes over Summit Nos 1 and 2 the Jumbo Excelsior Black Bear Black Bear Fraction Bonanza and Lode Star Fraction claims in Loon creek district as full payment for capital stock. Directors include W. W. Chisholm of Salt Lake president James C. Pierce of Loon creek vice president Oliver Chisholm of Bozeman Mont secretary and treasurer Orrie A. Tibbetts and Wm Pischel of Salt Lake.

Mrs. Colonel James A McFadden died at her Challis residence on Friday morning November 3 1905 between 8 and 4 o clock from an illness described as droppy She had long been in poor health and died in relief The deceased had lived in Challis and Custer coming from Denver Colorado She was about years old and leaves a husband mother and other relatives The remains were shipped Sunday to Caro Michigan where a brother lives
The Macbeth lease on White Knob copper properties at Mackay was closed as announced by Ravengl Macbeth who returned from the mines with William H. Brevoort and Clarence McCornick. The property will be actively worked under Frank Leland with potential output of 1 to 150 tons of ore daily as the large smelter is dismantled for repairs.
A long running shipment dispute over the Balaldale mines in Shasta county California concluded recently with transfer of assets valued in the millions. The White Knob interests hold one fourth, J A Coram of Boston and associates secure half, and the McCormicks of this city obtain the remaining quarter.
F P Fisher and Henry Kolb returned from a prospecting trip in the Germanix basin about 50 miles above Ketchum. Kolb recounted a monster deer Fisher killed there that weighed more than 300 pounds, a load for two men to lift, the largest he has ever seen.
