A quiet May 16 1906 wedding at the Colvin bridge four miles southeast of Challis united James N Kerr and Dora Jensen in matrimony. The ceremony was at the bride’s parents home with Rev Geo L McDougal officiating. Relatives attended and many presents were given as tokens of esteem. The bride is popular in the community. the groom is noted as energetic. The Messenger offers congratulations.

Yellow Jacket Mine to Reopen July Amid Revival in Lemhi County

The Yellow Jacket mine, shut for a decade, will restart on July 1 with a 60 stamp mill and full mill, tramway, sawmill, and water power setup. Owner Searles failed, estate went to a receiver, bankruptcy followed, and the town declined. reopening promises activity as ore is reduced into bullion and the schoolhouse, hotel, and surrounding area look to revitalization after years of idleness.
