The Idaho legislature created four new counties. Lewis County was carved from Nez Perce, with Nez Perce as the county seat. Clearwater County was cut from Shoshone, Ore Fine serves as county seat. Adams County formed from Washington, with Council as seat. Bonnerville County formed from Bingham, Idaho Falls is seat.
