Springs and Sullivan Hot Springs lie two and a half miles above Clayton on Salmon river, offering sulphur rich medicinal waters for bathing. It is becoming a resort for invalids and pleasure seekers. improvements include a guest carriage service and round trip for 50 cents daily. Two plunge baths are complete with more conveniences planned.
A prospectus-style notice offers limited shares in the Sapore Goun Mixnina Company of Cripple Creek Colorado. It claims three mines near a major vein and details par value shares. initial price 24 cents, minimum 100 shares, rising to 5 cents after 50,000 sold. Descriptive pamphlet and weekly market letter available.
A brief notice places mining investment brokers in the First National Bank Building in Colorado Springs Colorado noting their presence in the city’s financial services scene.
J P Spalding County Treasurer Challis Idaho dated January 26 1897 advises warrants against Custer County will be paid on presentation with interest to date if presented within sixty days from notice. Lists Current Expense Fund Road Fund Redemption Hospita Fund with issue dates and warrant numbers and specifies 7 percent interest.
Sealed proposals invited by the Board of County Commissioners of Custer county Toyho for core sod maintenance of roads in Red District Nox 1-2-1 and 5. Bidders must reside in the district and bids due July 12 1887. Board may reject all bids. by order GEO. E. KEYES Clerk.
United States Land Office Hailey Idaho May 26 1897 announces that Edwin R Hawley have filed for Timber Culture and Homestead proofs with final dates July 7 1897 at Hailey Idaho. Witnesses include William C Smith Ellis Idaho B Vandorn Clyde Idaho Joseph Branson Arco Idaho Joseph Walker Howe Idaho. Additional claims by Hawley and others show for various sections and lands with witnesses W C Smith B Vandorn Branson Walker and W H Brooman Desert Land Entry. First publication June 1 1897.
