Geo E Keyes moves to Mackay and several locals visit Challis and Mackay while district court postpones to after July 4. The Haywood trial begins in Boise with a listed jury. Several names and places such as Albion Logan St. Anthony Idaho Cincinnati Ohio appear.
Caldwell Tribune reports San Francisco Idaho and Montana railroad will be built this year with survey work underway from Homedale toward Winnemucca Nevada. The line crosses Snake River at Homedale then heads SW to join Western Pacific, while Western Pacific progress accelerates toward the Golden Gate route. Company officials provide no firm start date amid guarded remarks from E R Place, but local financiers have invested tens of thousands in Caldwell.
