Local shop on Main Street Challis advertises a tensorial line of goods with flexible pricing. Mentions Thunder Mir as a specialty item and invites customers to drop in for any requested merchandise.
Stage Line offers daily four-horse Concord coach service between Challis and Mackay the nearest railroad point, with connections to Three Forks and Thunder Mountain route. Stages arrive Challis 4 p m and depart 6 p m carrying passengers mail and express. Managers V Hansen and J P Spalding oversee Challis operations.

The remains of B. A. Whittier, a traveling salesman for Chapman Bros. & Co. of Portland, were located on a Salmon river rock bar on Monday, June 8. Whittier, last heard of in Challis last October, was well connected socially, and authorities suspect suicide.
